Bergen-Lafayette
Welcome to Bergen-Lafayette—Jersey City’s best-kept secret with soul. A personal favorite, I lived in this neighborhood for 10 years and also invested here as well!
This pocket of town is where historic architecture meets creative energy. Picture historic brownstones, converted lofts, and modern new builds all nestled near parks, indie coffee shops, impressive street art murals, and community-driven eateries that actually know your name.
With the Light Rail, plenty of parking, Liberty State Park in your backyard, and some of the best hidden gems in the city—it’s no wonder savvy buyers and renters are locking in now. This is where JC is still JC.

Roxy JC – Heights cult favorite Corto’s, sister restaurant, and a very pretty one she is. Great for date night or more elevated drinks with friends.
GTK (Coming Soon) – Hoboken favorite for quality consistent take out and delivery– get the smoked wings and fried rice! This new location is apparently a new model that will help satisfy the neighborhood’s need for family-friendly dining, event space, and great takeout all-in-one space!
